SSM Seniors Strategy Survey

The STS is one of eighteen bodies with the status of Member Organization of the Saskatchewan Seniors Mechanism. SSM in consultation with its members has been working on the development of a Seniors Strategy for Saskatchewan, the only province which does not currently have such a strategy for this important demographic. Some 21 forums and a number of focus groups involving over 600 people have taken place throughout the province as part of the development process.

As part of the unfolding of the strategy, SSM has now produced a survey for individuals to provide input. STS, Regina Chapter supports participation in the survey in order to ensure that as many people as possible participate in this opportunity to shape our future.

The survey is on the SSM website at www.skseniorsmechanism.ca and can be completed online, the preferred option, as the results can be tabulated more efficiently in that format. We encourage all members of the STS, Regina Chapter to complete the survey before the deadline for submission of March 31st. The link to the survey is at the bottom right hand side of the SSM home page and once selected, will take you to a second page where you need to click on the blue line: “Link to Online Survey” which will then take you through the various survey questions.

In the event you know of someone who does not have access to the internet and who is a member of the Chapter, we will have paper copies of the survey from the Winter 2019 issue of Gray Matters, the official publication of the SSM available at the February 11 and March 18 Chapter Assemblies. There will also be a presentation on SSM and the survey at the February Assembly.

Paper surveys can be mailed to the SSM office and if there are a number of such surveys completed at the February and March Assemblies, an executive member will gather them up and deliver the package for participants. The survey can also be printed from the SSM website in case you know of someone who would like to take part but does not have internet access. Our Chapter website found at www.stsregina.comwill also have a link to the survey in case you wish to access it in that manner.
